The W.O.N. annual music celebration is a concept inspired by the resilient and gallant acts of the women who marched to the Union Buildings in the 50’s to challenge the apartheid regime. While Free State province, Mangaung in particular is well known for hosting the MACUFE during October, few entertainment activities take place in the other months. Women of Note aids in attracting tourists into this province during August.
